Let's be honest.
Resolutions suck.
I am terrible at them.
Everything starts out perfect.
I'm motivated and excited to make a change.
but, as time goes on,
I forget
or get lazy.
either one.
So this year will be different.
(insert eye-roll here)
but seriously, I have the perfect source of accountability...
YOU!
and this blog.
and, instead of setting myself up for failure by making a general, broad resolution to follow through the entire year,
I am breaking it up month by month.
and I am going to be specific.
This means that each month I will have 5 goals to complete.
Also, I will hopefully cross some things off my bucket list for 2013.
Each month I will update you on how I did.
So, without further adieu:
January's 5 Goals:
1. Go to a class at my gym at least 3 times.
2.Walk Sydney (my dog) everyday
3.Spend absolutely nothing on myself (that's not necessary) all month.
Things like clothes, makeup, books and sadly goodwill :'(
4. Start up my coupon binder/couponing again but still stick with #3
5. Finish The Little Bee and begin a new book.
Honestly, I think all these things will be easy except #3.
Not because I'm conceited and like to buy things only for myself, but because I can never pass up a good deal.
And now for the Bucket List...
Right now, this is all I can think of, but I will add more when I do.
2013 Bucket List:
-Cut out processed foods
-buy local produce/go to local farmer's market more
-volunteer somewhere
-have my first giveaway on my blog
-figure out my college plan
-save my money up for something big (don't have a clue what that will be...yet)
-bake a blackberry cobbler from scratch
-eat better and be active
-make new friends
-work on my scrapbook
-go on a road trip
-write a letter to myself to open in 10 years
-go camping
-read at least 8 books
-teach myself how to sew
and I'm sure there is more that I cannot think of right now, but I will add them as I think of them.
I'll check back in at the end of the month to tell you how I did!
Happy New Year!
