Buttons

This past summer, I got to go to the world's longest yard sale. It came through my grandparents area, and I was beyond excited!
I happened to come across a bunch of vintage/old buttons.
Of course I snatched them up!
There are so many different things I could do with them
The possibilites are endless!

Birds, Butterflies and Pigs... Oh My!

While I was dusting my room the other day,
I came to a conclusion.
I have a little obsession.
a decorating obsession.
I like birds, butterflies, and yes, pigs.
and they. are. everywhere.

but don't take my word for it.
see for yourself!

okay, obviously my dusting attempts were not too successful.

I think I have a problem.
but a good problem.
One I can live with :)

What I wore....

It's Wednesday.
You know the drill.

I wore this sunday running errands.
I threw it on minutes before running out of the house.
If i'd had more time, I would've put on earrings, and a pair of green wedges, oh and probably would've fixed my hair!
Oh well!

Jeans- Thrifted (loft)
Tee and cardigan-Thrifted (old navy)
Wedges- target

A map of Paris + Advice

Anyone who knows me also knows my three favorite things:
1. Butterflies
2.Teal Blue
and
3. All things French

I adore France.
The culture, the food, the people, the language (Je parle français!)
and most certainly, Paris.
{the highlight of my life (so far) was going to the top of  La Tour Eiffel}
See below:

So, it should come as no surprise that while shopping this weekend with my mom
I just so happened to stumble upon this:

and I instantly fell in love.
I mean, come on.
a map of paris

more importantly
a map of the monuments in paris.
gahhh!!
Love.

okay....
really really love.

I adored the colors.
I really liked the vintage feel of the paper.
and it's Paris!

Then I saw the price:
$2.50
SOLD
signed. sealed. delivered.
it was mine.

I ran up to the cashier and whipped out those George Washingtons
so fast I think I scared the poor girl.

When I finished, I sat in the car and just swooned over the little beauty I just purchased.
Then I started thinking.

"What the heck am I going to do with this?!?!"

"I will find something" I demanded.

and even though I knew I could come up with something...
I still haven't.

So this is where the advice part come in

What would you do with this?

I don't really have wall space to frame it
and I don't want to destroy it.

So what would you do?
Leave me a comment telling me below!

By the way, I found the map at Aaron Brothers

WIWW

I don't know why, but it has taken me forever to write this post! I have stared at the blank screen for a while and nothing has come to me.
For some reason I have zero creative energy so I'll just share what I wore monday!
We finally arrived home (after a 14 hour car drive!) and have began to settle back in.

Monday my mom and I finally went to see Les Mis (Amazing. there are no other words! ) and also stopped into goodwill (don't worry I stuck to my goal)
This is what I wore:

I was running behind so I just threw this outfit together.
and to be honest, it looked better in my head.

the denim top came from goodwill (it's banana republic)
 black tee and tank: target
jeans: khols (see this post)
wedges: also target

Necklace is a Franchesca's after Christmas clearance sale find
I think it was less than $6.

I'm a book re-reader.

Source: someecards.com via Amber on Pinterest

So, since I already told you my "secret"
I thought I'd continue on the topic and share my top three books I could (& have) read over and over again.
Books that I love.
Books that I consider
"a part of me"
Books that I would consider my favorites
(because you know I can't just pick one!)

1.
(if you read yesterday's post this should be obvious.)

The Notebook

Source: goodreads.com via Amber on Pinterest

I love this book.
I've read it at least 4 times
and it never ever gets old.
It's a classic in my book.
The story is beautiful.

and the movie is probably one of the only adaptations I love just as much.
well, also because Rachel Mcadams is my favorite actress (we share a birthday!)
anyway,
the book is amazing.
love love love it.
and this past summer I got my copy signed!!!

“I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough..”
Nicholas Sparks; The Notebook

2.
The Time Traveler's Wife

Source: goodreads.com via Amber on Pinterest

This book is genius.
It's really lovely.
It makes me both laugh and cry.
and I kinda wish Claire was my friend in real life.
(is this normal?)

just don't see the movie.
it is awful
(sorry Rachel!)

“Love the world and yourself in it, move through it as though it offers no resistance, as though the world is your natural element.”
Audrey Niffenegger; The Time Traveler's Wife

3.
Redeeming Love

Source: google.com via Amber on Pinterest

This is one of those books that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
no really.
It does.
It's such a beautiful love story that keeps you on edge and guessing how it will turn out.
I read it straight through because I literally couldn't put it down.
It's beguiling.

“...for some of us, one mile can be more to walk than thirty.”
Francine Rivers; Redeeming Love

and this list could go on and on,
but I will refrain for your sake.

What are your favorite books? Which ones can you read over and over again?
