WIWW

Its Wednesday already??? Almost halfway there peeps! I cant wait for the weekend because I have a much needed hair appointment (tune in tomorrow, I REALLY! need your advice!!), and my family is going to the Dallas Museum of Art to see the temporary Impressionism exhibit straight from Paris! I am beyond excited!

Anyway, Here is what I wore this week!

Bad Hair day obviously!!! I tried to curl my hair but it turned out terrible! No matter how long I leave the iron in, or how much hair spray I use, I still get awful looking, half straight half not, hair. Gross.
Any advice?
Anywho,
Cardigan- loft outlet
Polka dot shirt- Trip to Paris... sorry!
Jeans-thrifted (gap)
my go-to sandals- old navy
I actually bought another pair of sandals from F21 today. I went into the mall for a quick lunch, and that darn store sucked me in! I swear, I left with things I didnt need but couldnt put down.
How do they do it???
Necklace- Lisa
earrings( kinda hard to see)-khols (vera wang)

It rained this whole day, so I have really bad quality pictures to share...boo!
Tunic dress- Goodwill (juicy couture)
Jeans- loft outlet

Necklace-consigned

Rainboots- Thrifted (pier one!)

I felt super spring-y in this outfit! I hadn't worn this dress in a while, and to be honest, its just a little too small. This will definitely be the last time I wear it!
Poppy dress- American eagle (way old)
Cardigan-loft outlet
sandals- old navy

Here is a close up of the pattern. In the pictures above, it looks a lot different than it does up close :)

Necklace- Lisa (same from above)
Earrings-? maybe charming charlie??
sunnies- recent purchase from the blasted F21...they get me every. single. time.
Flower Pin- I actually wore this to my senior prom in my hair...I think I bought it from claires? Not too sure.
sorry, just had to share ONE prom picture... :) but see the flower pin????

okay, one last picture and I am done I promise!!
I just HAD to share my most recent pleated poppy bag!
My mom surprised me with it! I love it so much!
and the lady working at Loft begged me to tell her where to get one...she was shocked it was handmade!
Love it!

and there you have it! That was picture overload huh?
If you're visiting from the Pleated poppy, drop me a line and look around for a bit!
If you are a regular, why don't you just follow me? Wink wink
pretty please?
Have a great week y'all!

If We Were to Meet for Coffee (even though I don't drink it)

If we were to meet at Starbucks....
I'd order a Grande Skinny Vanilla Steamer
because they are the best...

I'd first tell you that I wasn't feeling too well,
my regular migraines are making an appearance daily.
I'd tell you that its due to lack of sleep, or not enough water,
but that is not true.
you see, Stress is the culprit. Caught red-handed.

I'd tell you I'm stressed because of school.
My mom wants me to take an online class during summer, and this scares me.
I dont know why, because I know I can do it,
but I'm dragging my feet on enrolling

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you how sick I am of having to live in a house that is on the market.
I'd complain about having to make my bed every morning, and to always clean up.
I'd laugh because I am upset about such small things.
I'd feel guilty about complaining when I have such a blessed life.

I'd tell you about my summer,
how it's coming so soon.
I'd tell you that I am going to my grandparents for its entirety.
I would grin from ear to ear because my best friend will visit.
(we haven't seen each other in a year!)

I'd share my latest crafts, and ideas. I'd confess to how many hours I spend pinning.
I'd ask you if you do the same.

Lastly, I'd tell you that, while it may seem I am a mess, (most of the time I am),
I know that God has a plan.
and every day that passes, I know I am one step closer.

If we were to meet for coffee, What would you tell me?

Insta-Friday

Its Friday the 13th oooooh are you scared?? Im not superstitous at all, but I do enjoy hearing about others crazy (or normal) superstitions!
Anyways,  This weekend brings me no specific plans but I cant wait. I love just relaxing and not having to worry about being somewhere.
Linking up with Jeannett to share my weekly cell pictures!

This is the park right by my house. I love watching the sunset between the hills in the park. It is so beautiful and serene. (this picture doesnt do it justice!)

Let me bask in the beauty of this picture for a moment. This picture makes me grin ear to ear! My dog,(sydney, an Australian Shepherd (yes I realize how cheesy that name is but I didnt pick it )) is such a love bug. She was so dirty from playing in the mud, that I plopped her in the shower to clean her off. She just stood there like a statue, looking at me with those adorable puppy dog eyes! I love her so!

She sure does clean up nice huh? Can you tell how much I love her????

As soon as I opened my easter basket, I put this beauty on, and haven't taken it off yet! (except for showers of course :D) This necklace means so much to me, and it makes me smile every time I look down at it!

This is Texas weather for ya! They predicted rain all week, and it didnt rain once! not a single drop!
I was so looking forward to wearing my wellies too,
Bummer.

This is the reality of the week in weather. 105 degrees. yup. in APRIL!
way too hot for my taste!
Why am I boring you with talk about weather? I guess that was the only thing on my mind this week...sorry :(

This crazy weather had me dreaming of touching my feet into a soft sandy beach, and listening to the waves crash against the shore. I'd so rather be there, than here in 105 degrees terror!
But, my mind is always on vacation, even though my body is not!

I cooled off by sipping on this ginormous 1/2 priced sonic strawberry limeade...or in other words, heaven in a cup. So yummy!

I think this was Friday's moon. It was so bright, I could see everything without my lamp on! It was crazy!
question: How does one take a "good" picture of the moon?? All mine sucked and according to my brother, I wasnt "doing it right" He told me this, but never showed me how to do it correctly! Oh, brothers! gotta love em right?

Spent my thursday looking like this. Covered in powdered sugar and cake batter. Can you tell how swollen my feet are??? I was baking a cake for my mom's co-worker, and it took all. day.long. no joke!
I was exhausted!

But I think it turned out okay. Not my best work, but I had a cake-tastrophe where the top layer fell and smashed the bottom...it was awful. So, considering all that, it turned out, well, not bad...
just dont look too close at it :)

Ok, off to class! Hope your weekend will be just as fabulous as you are!!!

How I get paid to shop!

If you have been around here for a bit, you already know that the majority of my closet consists of either thrifted clothing, or what I call "consigned" clothing.  I get all my "consigned clothing at Clothes Mentor. If you know what Plato's closet is the concept is the same. You bring in your gently used clothing, they pay you cash on the spot. The best part is, you can use that money to buy name brand clothing at a fraction of the cost!

By the way, this isn't just a local shop, they have hundreds of stores nation wide (check to see if there is one near you! ;)

(this is the one by me!)

The main difference between Clothes Mentor and Platos Closet is that Clothes mentor is only for womens clothes (Loft, Banana Republic, Gap) , where as Plato's is only for juniors (Hollister, American Eagle, Aeropostale).
I know! Its a lot of info, So, In case I lost ya, It is mainly just a "high-end" thrift boutique that sells name brand clothing at 70% off retail.

The best part is, they sell sizes from 00-3X and even maternity!

I love going through my closet and bringing in clothes I no longer wear to make a couple bucks!

This store is an addiction to me. I love going in weekly to see what new items they have (they get new things everyday!) You can even find new items with tags! They sell everything from purses to shoes to jewelry to dresses!  I also love the variety. There are things in there for anybody's style!

So check to see if there is one in your area! You wont be disappointed!
(I was in no way compensated for this post. The thoughts and opinions are all mine! I just love this store and had to share it with y'all!)

P.S. They run coupons all the time, so keep your eye out!
P.S.S Sorry If I sounded like a car salesman. I just wanted to explain why I say my clothes are "consigned" all the time. Please don't hate me :)
