Influenster Varsity Vox Box

Y'all know how much I love the company Influnster. (here are my previous posts about them: here & here)

I was chosen for this round of the Varsity Vox Box, one geared towards college students!
Here's what I got:

Awesome right!?!?!

1. NYC BIG and Bold Plumping Lipgloss
(I couldn't find the shade name anywhere)
I actually despise lip gloss, so I won't use this, but I tried it on for the sake of the review. It's a plumping gloss so it kinda stings a bit once you put it on, but it only lingers for a few seconds. I liked how this has a mint scent/flavor and I can't really complain about it being too sticky.
Here's a swatch of the shade I got

Another cool thing about this gloss is that the doe-foot applicator is huge!
They don't lie when they say it's big.

2. Kiss Nail Dress
(this is number 56702 KD S04)

I have yet to actually wear these, because I'm saving them for the holidays (hello New Years!) I love the design, but I think they'll be perfect for a holiday party.
I've tried these before, and while I don't think they last for 10 days like they claim, they do last pretty well. Plus, there is absolutely no dry time, so you can literally put these on and go! No complaining there!

3. Air Heads Xtremes Bites

I don't prefer sour candy very much, but I gave these to my brother. He loved them! He said he even liked them better than sour patch kids.

4. Clearasil Refreshing Superfruit Facewash
I gave these to a friend because she actually uses this product daily. She says she loves it, especially for her oily skin. Oh and because it smells amazing!

5.

Ok, guys. I flipping love these! There's nothing worse than using too much laundry soap and spilling the lid full of soap.  These completely solve those problems! Not to mention how convenient it is to just grab one and throw it in. Also, they make your clothes smell amazing! For real, I didn't even use a softener. My mom refuses to buy any soap besides tide because she thinks it cleans the best. Next time, I will definitely pick these up.
(who knew I could get so excited over laundry!)

And that was my varsity box!
Definetly check Influnster out, they rock!

Influenster Spring Fever Vox Box

I was so excited to hear that influenster was sending me another Vox Box!
I've already received two before, so I was really excited to get this one!

When it arrived in the mail, I was kinda unimpressed.
Not that I was complaining, because it was given to me for free, and I love free stuff,
I was just so-so about it.

Secret Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant
This may be TMI, but I've been having deodorant problems recently. Okay, B.O. problems. Nothing ever seems to work strong enough for me! I've finally found that the solid form of this secret works well for me. I'll be interested in seeing if the gel works the same. We shall see!

NYC New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm
I really like this. It's sheer, but after a few strokes, you'll get the classic red you're looking for.

Here is my swatch after about 6 strokes.
Still sheer, but very moisturizing. This will be great for summer!
While this is a great lip balm, it has this terribly strong 'fake apple' smell. It's off-putting to me because I get migraines easily from smells. The color is great, though and I will wear lightly as the smell does wear off after a while.

Broadway Nail ImPRESS Press-on Manicure

I'm not a fake nail person. It's just not me, and I would never personally choose to put a brown color on my nails. It just seems gross to me. I gave these to my aunt and she liked them. She said they were easy to apply and lasted quite a while! So maybe I'll give them a try in a different color.

Schwarzkopf OSIS Gelatstic
I used this in my hair after I went to the beach to hopefully achieve those beachy waves everyone goes for. I applied a small amount and that was just enough. It didn't leave my hair crunchy, which I like,  but still held my natural wave.

 Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes:
I didn't even get the chance to taste this, as the second my sweet little cousin saw it, it was his.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves ;)

as you can see, he totally hated it! LOL.
He literally devoured it in under 10 seconds flat. He really really liked it and asked if we could buy some!
That's when you know it's good.

Anyway, Sign up for influenster, and maybe you could test out some products! It's great!
Overall, I am excited about all the things I received and I plan on using almost all of it.

*I received these products complimentary from Influenster for Testing purposes only. These thoughts and opinions are my own :)*

Insta-Friday

Can I just say THANK GOODNESS it is Friday! I swear this was the longest week of my existence!!! Geez! (Ok I know, I am being dramatic) But Still!!!
So Friday can only mean one thing.....INSTA-friday! Im linking up with Jeannett to share my weekly (amateur) cell pictures!

Ok people. Be prepared. There are a LOT of pictures. and I mean a lot. Partly because I missed last week and because I have a bunch of vacation pictures!
Dont say I didn't warn you!

First off, is my super interesting, and exciting plane ticket!! (enter sarcasm here)
Can you tell I was excited to visit my grandparents?

I LOVE these pictures. I have no idea why! but every.single.time. I ride an airplane, I have to take a picture of the wing with the sky. yep, call me a nerd.
oh in case you didn't know, I was in GA visiting my grandparents and cousins.

This is my little-est (is that a word?) cousin. I watched him being born, at 13!!! Let me say OUCH! I praise all you mothers out there! Anyway, he is my little man. Although now my little man has an attitude and also a sense of humor. He cracks me up! I told him to smile for a picture while he was fishing and this is what I get. Him fishing with one hand, and picking his booty with another. love that kid.

then, following the fishing, my aunt, little man, and I set off on a canoe ride. Man, I should have recorded it because it was hilarious! Two blondes trying to steer a canoe. yep. my family. love them!

This I think was a picture from the Photo a day thing. Clouds? right? well, aren't they beautiful! Amazed at god's creations!

This is what we spent our week building. I, for some reason, didnt take a picture of the "treehouse" completed, but here it is in progress. Next project is building my cottage! Cant wait for summer!

Funny story for this one: My "nana" sent my aunt and I to town to buy some ice. We pulled into the dollar general I think, When I saw this huge shack (oxymoron right?) that said ICE! So we tried it out and this thing was AWESOME! So cool in fact, I had to take my picture with it!

This is what I get when I ask for a "nice" picture. (little man and my younger bro up top)

Later in the week, we went hiking down towards a waterfall on my grandparent's property. Here is my aunt and her BFF hiking with me. It was an AWESOME work out let me tell ya!

But it was all worth it because the falls were beautiful!!! THen we decided to hike all the way up the falls (as in we climbed through the falls) It was the coolest experience!

The next day we visited Pointe Park in Chattanooga, or overlooking Chattanooga more like.  Such pretty views and so much history!

Here are little man, my bro, and oldest cousin (still younger than me) climbing dangerous rocks! Boys will be boys right??

And here are my aunt and I watching them, while looking pretty!
ha! Girls! This was actually our last day there. the day after, we all packed up in the car and headed home.

Luckily, we had this beautiful scenery to enjoy on the way home. Oh wait.
but we did get a great game of I spy whats-in-the-trunk-of-this-dudes-car. very exciting if I don't say!

the best part of road trips are the gas station stops (for me at least) but did you know that they make "SHARE SIZE" crazy I know! this thing was HUGE!!

I knew I was home when I saw this gorgeous view! There is nothing like texas sunsets!

and this little angel was waiting for me when I got home. I missed her  she missed me so much!!

and look at this beauty I found to hold all my flower pins and such! I LOVE it! I need to take a pic of it with all my posys!

enjoying my FREE cup of tea thanks to Influenster! It was great!

plus I loved the rainbow of colors the tea bags came in! I cant wait to try them all, oh but not licorice.

and I'm leaving you with this super random picture of a strawberry on steroids. Seriously this thing was huge, GINORMOUS! it was almost the same size as my iphone!!!

ok, whew, that was a lot. I know, random and weird and personal. But thats me. take it or leave it :)   (Please take it because I REALLY like you ;) )

and now I am exhausted and have to study for an exam, so I bid you adieu! Till next time folks (ok I am a looney tunes character now apparently)

Have a fabulous weekend y'all!

Influenster Love Vox Box Review

A while back, I signed up for the website Influenster. It basically is a site that combines all the social media outlets for women to review products. I was chosen this round to review the "Love Vox Box." You cant believe how excited I was to open the box and try out all the products. I was shocked because everything I received were things I can actually use. Here are the products I got and my opinions on them!

The first product, I was most excited about: Gillette Venus with Olay
What They Say: For the first time ever, Gillette Venus, a global leader in female shaving, and Olay, a global leader in skincare, are coming together to deliver a gold standard in shaving with the new Gillette Venus & Olay razor. Venus’ best shaving technology works with Olay Moisture Bars, offering women best-of-both-worlds shaving and skin expertise. Olay Moisture Bars help lock-in moisture to your skin for less dryness, and with every smoothing stroke, Venus’ five blades shave you close.

What I Think: For starters, I am VERY picky when it comes to razors and I find that Venus is one of the only brands I can use. So, when I saw this, I was beyond excited. I love venus. I love olay. So I knew this product would be great! And it did not disappoint! It left my legs silky and moisturized. I also loved that I did not have to use shave cream! The only negative was that I left the razor in my shower after I used it, and when I went shave again a couple days later, the bar had fallen off so I couldn't use it again. Next time, I will take it out before using it again. Overall, I will definitely purchase these
razors again.

When I first opened my box, I instantly opened the Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Bar and it did not disappoint!
What They Say: Ghirardelli has introduced a new line of chocolate delivering an epicurean milk chocolate experience--Gourmet MilkTM chocolate. The lineup has three decadently rich and creamy flavors: Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion with rich and creamy 32% cacao chocolate, Gourmet Milk Sea Salt Escape with peaks of sea salt and roasted almonds and Gourmet Milk Coconut Rendezvous which features toasted coconut flakes. Finally, milk chocolate for the connoisseur.

What I Think:  Umm....the whole bar was devoured in less than 2 minutes flat. I think that explains my opinion on it! :)
It was not bitter at all and very milky. I am, once again, very picky on chocolate, and I REALLY liked this!

Next was the Stash Tea Herbal Sampler

What They Say:
This sampler features some of Stash Teas most popular herbal teas. Enjoy two tea bags each of the following flavors: acai berry, blueberry superfruit, chamomile, cinnamon apple chamomile, lemon ginger, licorice spice, mango passionfruit, peppermint, and wild raspberry hibiscus. All naturally caffeine free and made from 100% natural ingredients. Steep for 3-5 minutes at 190-209 degrees Fahrenheit.

What I Think:  Again, I already purchase stash, but I never had tried these flavours. I sampled the Mango Passionfruit and it was very sweet. (I think I added to much truvia) but the flavours were yummy. I cant wait to try the acai berry and a couple others!

I used the next product in my stash tea: Truvia All Natural Sweetner:
What They Say: Truvía® natural sweetener is the first natural, great-tasting, zero-calorie sweetener born from the leaves of the stevia plant.

o   One packet of Truvía® natural sweetener provides the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar.
o   Truvía® natural sweetener is refreshingly uncomplicated.  Add it to coffee and tea.  Sprinkle it on fruit and cereal.
o   Truvía® natural sweetener is a great alternative for people
with diabetes. It is also kosher certified.

What I Think:  surprise surprise, I already buy truvia. hehe! I LOVE this product! I cant stand all those chemicals in artificial sweetners such as Splenda, and I love that Truvia is all natural. It doesnt alter the taste of the food, just makes it sweet. It however, is hard to dissolve in cold drinks.

Lastly, Kiss Nail Dress:

What They Say: Introducing Kiss Nail Dress, ultimate nail fashion for tips and toes! Just peel, apply, and shape for a manicure that lasts up to 10 days. On in minutes, off in seconds without remover. Nail Dress is available in 18 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs. Check out Peplum, a deep black with multi-colored gems for a pop of color, or Babydoll, for a golden and glamorous jeweled look. Skip the topcoat, Nail Dress has it built in.With 28 strips in each package, you can cut up your extras to create designs that can be used on top of polished or artificial nails. Nail Dress doesn’t dry out the way other polish strips can, so you can save them to use on your next DIY mani. A nail design booklet is included in each package, just in case you need a little inspiration.

And don’t forget about your feet! Nail Dress looks awesome on toes, too – just use the square side of the sticker for a perfect fit.

What I Think:  I dont really like to wear polish on my nails just because I always end up picking it off and it looks bad, but I still gave them a shot. They were easy to apply and easy to remove as well. They do however, peel up if you dont apply them right (which is what I did) And I picked them off! See I told ya! but overall, not bad. They are cute and a nice step up from regular polish and  most importantly,
inexpensive. (sorry I forgot to take a picture of them on!)

and thats it! Can you believe that just signing up for this site, they sent me all of these FULL SIZE products for free! You guys should definitely give Influenster a shot!
