Blogs I Love, 31 Days of LOVE

One of the first things I do in the morning is read all the latest posts from my favorite blogs. Today I thought I'd share with you some of my favorites!
Oh, these aren't in any order at all, by the way.

1. Little Baby Garvin
I swear when I grow up, I want to be just like her. Her family is adorable and she's so talented and funny! Even though I don't have kids, she's my favorite 'mommy' blogger. Plus, we both share an intense adoration for the movie Christmas Vacation.

Her hair is fabulous, and she's taught me everything I know about mine. But there's more than just her hair, she loves makeup (me too!) shopping, bascically all things girly. I feel like she's the sister I never had!

3. Zoella
She's gorgeous, funny, sweet and British. Enough said.

4.Five Days Five Ways/M is for Mama
She recently rebranded her blog, so she's now M is for Mama. I like her because she loves Goodwill as much as yours truly, she has great DIY's and her house is drool worthy.

5.Deaf Girl Musings
This is one of the most well written blogs I've ever read. She truly has a gift with words. I go to her for inspiration, her tales of faith and sometimes for a good laugh. Plus, I happen to be related to her, so that makes her even more awesome ;)

6. Beauty Broadcast
I love Emily! Her videos and reviews are always my go to for knowing when to buy or not to buy a product. I love her blog just as much. If you need to know if you should buy the latest drugstore/high end beauty products, check her out! I truly trust her opinion.

7. Thrifted or Scripted
Her outfits are always spot on and I am constantly inspired by them to try to replicate in my own closet! Plus, her thrift store seems fabulous because she's always finding amazing things.

8. Polka Dotty Place
She's a teacher, avid thrifter, an excellent baker and she just had an adorable little girl. I also feel like she's me in a few years!

9.Gal Meets Glam
Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, she's got the closet every girl dreams about! Although I could never afford anything she wears, she's still got a lot of good inspiration.

10. Juggling Chic
I just started following her and I'm so glad I did. Her fashion taste is very similar to mine and again, she loves goodwill and a good outfit. She inspires me because she just lost over 70lbs! I love this blog, she's gorgeous and has great style!

Products I Love, 31 Days of LOVE

This palette by Sonia Kashuk is gorgeous! It's called 'Shimmering Sands' and you can get it here. (I got mine in store, though)
The colors are gorgeous and very shimmery/glittery.
I love it because all four shades are neutral, and I just swipe one all over my lid and go!

Moments of the Week: Alligators and New Babies! 31 days of LOVE

Better late than never, right?
1.

Welp, that's embarassing. But, I had to share for the sake of having something to blog about.
Last weekend I babysat for a new family and it was actually so much fun!
They live in a huge house(mansion) and the little boy was a blast to play with.
We created our own zoo, filled with every stuffed animal he had, then the alligators (me) got loose and he had to rescue all the animals.
I have to say, I love my job!

2.
Speaking of babysitting, we are dog sitting this cute little guy this weekend because his mom and dad (close family friends) are at the hospital.
They had a new sweet little baby yesterday!
I couldn't be more excited for them. They have two boys (who I babysit, I've posted about them several times, you can read one here)
and just welcomed a new little girl named Willow. Isn't that such a cute name?
I can't wait to love on her!

3.
BOOM!
This girl, yep me, got an 80 on my algebra test!
That's huge for me, because I normally am just happy if I pass.
This one hung on the fridge.

 4.
Here's where I admit that I need to get a life.
Last night, I put my poor dog in my shirt.
For fun.
Because I was bored.
Yeah.

Halloween Decor 2013, 31 Days of LOVE

It should come as no shock to you by now that my family loves holidays.
In fact, by our friends we are dubbed "The Griswalds" (for many other reasons as well)
Halloween is no exception.
{You can see lasts years decor here, here, and here}

So this year, we decided to predominately decorate for halloween on our porch.
I obviously couldn't be bothered to sweep or dust for these pictures, I'm no perfectionist!
We went for over-the-top cluttered, not too scary and a bit whimscial.
In other words, we just used what we had and threw it on our bakers rack and called it a day.
It was fun, nonetheless.
And I think it turned out pretty darn cute, if I don't say so myself.
Here's an overview of our patio/porch:
Can you spy The Duchess, above?

We handmade our wreath using things deco-mesh from Hobby Lobby and the decorations were from the Dollar Tree.
Someday I'll post a tutorial on how to make them, I promise.

On our baker's rack:

Most of our decorations were reused from last year and most came from Goodwill (some DIY'd by me and spray painted black, air vent painted pumpkins), the Dollar Tree (Gravestones, skulls, rats), clearance from last year (sparkly owl and shoe) and yard sales (hanging owls, witch).
The big ceramic pumpkins are handmade and came from Kroger.
The mum was from Costco, and is huge for only $14.
Small ones at Kroger were the same price!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed the tour!

"It's all just a bunch of Hocus Pocus!"

What I Wore Wednesday: 31 Days of Love

Hey friends! I'm giving myself a pat on the back because I actually took some outfit pictures this week! Well, I didn't, but my brother did...same thing right?
If you're new here, I started documenting my outfits to encourage me to get out of my college uniform: yoga pants and a tee. I can't say I've completely phased out the uniform, but it does make less appearances nowadays!

Here's what I wore this week:

Friday
Shirt: Old Navy, Goodwill $4
Jeans: American Eagle, Goodwill $4
Sandals: Garage Sale, $1
Necklace: Goodwill, $3

Saturday:
Yes, those are the same jeans from the day before...that's just how I roll!
Sweater: Loft, Goodwill $3
Shirt: Loft, $13
Jeans: American Eagle, Goodwill $4
Flats: Sam Edelman, Last Call $40
Sunnies: Rayban, Last Call $40

Funny story about this outfit:
My family was eating breakfast after garage saleing and I spilled coffee all down my shirt. We were running around for the rest of the day so I didn't have time to go home and change. I dashed into LOFT (which was right next door to the restaurant) to see if I could find a cheap shirt on clearance for the time being.
Well, I found one, but I also left with a few other things I spotted on clearance (and an additional 40% off!), too. Hey, I can't miss a good sale!

Monday:
ignore the weird placement of the necklace, the wind blew!
Top: LOFT, $12
Jeans: LOFT, Goodwill $3
Necklace: Franchesca's, gift
shoes: Old Navy (which I talk about here), $5

When I asked my sweet ( I use that term loosely) brother to get a close up of my necklace, this is what I get:

'
What I really wanted to show you is how stunning this necklace is, which you can sorta see, despite my blotchy skin.
Oh well, you get the idea!
I love this necklace because it matches everything! I can wear it with browns and blacks, basically any neutral. Plus it's subtle but still adds a bit to any outfit.

Coffee Love, 31 Days of LOVE

The Keurig changed my life.
Ok, ok, maybe that's an exaggeration, but it's sorta true!
We use it for everthing: tea, coffee, cider, hot chocolate, etc. If you don't have one, you're missing out!
Now, onto the real reason for this post...

Girl, I loooove me some mocha.
Mocha light frappuccino from Starbucks is my thang, as well as the salted mocha, the reg mocha and the list could go on and on.

But making it from home is the way to do it, seeing that my fav drink costs me $5 a pop. *choke*

I like the Cafe Escapes Mocha, but I've found a k-cup I like better.
Whilst browsing through Target one day(I say that a lot, don't I?) I found my holy grail drink.

Oh, this is the bombdotcom, y'all!
(do people still say that? am I lame?)

It's different because it comes with the k-cup and a packet you add to the mug before brewing.
The packet I believe is to make the froth at the top, which is amazing.
It doesn't have the strongest coffee flavor, so sometimes If I need an extra kick, I'll brew a small regular cup of coffee and add it into this to make it a bit stronger.

I most definitely recommend you try it,
only if you like mochas of course!
Now, I will say we've tried the cappuccino version of this and did not like it at all. In fact, it was disgusting, but the mocha hit the nail on the head and is flippin awesome!
I saw online they have a caramel macchiato version I'll have to try, too.

Okay, are you sick of me talking about Keurig, k-cups and mochas?
Good, I'm done. Except this last ecard that perfectly describes our relationship:

;)

Oh, and I should mention that this post isn't sponsored or anything, I just love me some coffee!
