A Huge Goodwill Hunting!

Last week, my mom and I hit up our local goodwill and came home with some major scores!

We found a lot of jewelry and a couple clothes items, and other random things. 

Overall, I think It was a huge success!

Our first find were these earrings. They are so much more gorgeous in person. Light reflects off them giving them a mix of plum/greens/blues. They are so beautiful, and will go great for casual or dressy outfits.

Next, was this butterfly necklace! Of course, you know why I love this. However, I hate the chain it's on. Its similar to a piece of leather or hemp.

So, my mom and I plan on cutting the hook to attach it to the chain off, and glue a brooch pin on the back. It will be perfect to pin on a scarf or handbag.

Then, we found this lavender gemstone necklace. It hangs higher up on the neck, and doesn't have much leeway on length adjustment, but I think it is a great layering piece.

I LOVED this necklace. It has the perfect mix of edge with class. I think it is amazing. My mom hated it, by the way.

Ok, so when I said jewelry, I should've said a pair of earrings, with a lot of necklaces. 

but hey, the only jewelry we really wear are necklaces. So 2 bucks for pieces we love. You cant beat that!

This necklace was more expensive, but still reasonable. It is higher quality than the others, so I'm thinking its from Fossil or Lucky brand. 

It is so beautiful, though.

I love how it's eclectic and very detailed. 

Plus, I love the butterfly!

Then, I found this blouse that I couldn't pass up. I love the houndstooth and roses.

Goodwill hunting- sparkles!

It has been a while since I have done this, so I thought I'd share with you a small haul from goodwill yesterday. I went with my grandma (we had to take a break from packing) and didnt find much. On our way out I spotted two sparkley gems!

These heels I found match a dress I bought for my brother's rehearsal dinner perfectly. I was hesistant to buy them because $4.99 seems a bit "steep" for shoes.

 Am I going crazy? 

Since when did $5 become expensive for nice shoes?

I ended up buying them on a whim and am glad I did. 

Plus they are neutral enough to wear with anything. 

can you tell I am trying to justify my purchase?

I love the touch of sparkle they add, but also are very comfortable.

I plan on getting a lot of use out of them!

 In case you were wondering the label says "Nicole." Never heard of it, but love the shoes!

Then I found this beauty:

There is no secret that I love fossil, just not the hefty price tags.

 I saw the wallet while waiting in the longest (why do they only have 1!!!! cashier???)  line. 

I instantly saw the sparkles at the bottom of the bin and knew I had to have it. (the glitter is much more vivid in person (thanks crappy cell pics!)

Note:

I normally always inspect the fossil items from GW

(Goodwill buys the damaged or really old products from fossil to resale) because most of them are damaged beyond use and normally not worth the prices. I did my careful look-over and nothing seemed wrong! No stains, rips, broken zippers, nothing! 

It was mine!

I cant complain about all the awesome storage either!

$5.00 for a brand new fossil wallet--I'd say that is a heck of a deal!

Happy Monday! I had a very interesting and eventful weekend. My mom took friday off of work so we spent the day thrifting! It was so much fun. I didn't photograph the TWO CART FULL's of finds, so I will show you want I found earlier in the week.

Not too interesting, but I did find some great things:

Green Metal Vase- .47cents

Wallet and Change purse- 1.59 each

"Diamond" frame- .99cents

ugly brass butterfly that would look fabulous with a bright colored coat of spray paint!- .99cents

so grand total:

$5.63!!

What a steal!

I think this will be a regular occurrence around here which is totally okay with me!

 Here are my weekly goodwill finds!

In case you didn't know, I am a goodwill addict. I normally try to make it over there at least once a week, but usually its more (oops). 

Here is what I found:

Sock monkey-.59cents (for my mom who loves sock monkeys!)

mason jar w/ lid- .99cents ( to add to my vastly growing collection)

candle with anthro-esque base-.99cents (don't have a clue where this will go, but  I couldn't pass it up!)

Shoes (I bought them for my mom, but returned them b/c they were to small)-$4.99{kinda pricey in my mind, but they were naturalizer}

bowl-.99cents ( to house all my rings and such)

I love this SOO much! I wish I could've found more!

glass lid thing-.99cents (I will use to cover cakes on a plate!)

I guess that was my price for the trip...which rocks!

minus the shoes 

so really 

$4.55!!
