How to get Fastest (and Prettiest) Manicure Ever....

Ok, so maybe that title was a bit of an exaggeration.
but, it's kinda true.
I have finally perfected the way to give myself a professional looking manicure.

Let me explain something to you about me.
I never ever paint my nails.
toenails, yes. easy peasy.
but fingernails, yeah right.
You see, I can paint my left perfect and semi paint my right.
Which is a problem I'm sure I share with any right handers out there.
But the part that kills me every. single. time. is the waiting part.
I cannot sit still long enough for them to dry.
I have as much patience as a kid on christmas morning.
you know what I mean.
I always, always bump, nick, scratch them and ruin my paint job.
C'est La Vie
Then, I get so frustrated that I wipe every single nail clean.
Needless to say, the only times my nails are painted is when I get them professionally done.
but lets be honest
who has the money to get a manicure every single time you want your nails a different color?
certainly not me.

I had finally accepted the fact that I will never be able to paint my fingernails,
when I got the most awesome christmas gift ever.
for real.

I am a changed woman.

I (yes! me) can paint my nails now
Thanks to this wonderful wonderful invention:

seriously, a life saver

but instead of just explaining how it works, I thought I'd show you how to get that gorgeous professional-looking manicure that dries in less than 5 minutes.

Oh before I do I need a little disclaimer:
It is extremely hard to get a semi decent picture of yourself painting nails.
at least for me.
so sorry in advance for these 'wonderful' pictures

and one last thing... I have really really short nails naturally. Don't judge me :)

anywho, lets begin!

Here is what you'll need:

a. some sort of top and base coat
b. nail polish of your choice

I use Essie's Three Way Glaze as a base and top coat.
I swear by this stuff.
It makes your nails so shiny.
(this is what makes them look professionally done!)

I got it in a multi pack for christmas
This pic doesn't do it justice.
It's a purple-y silver-y metalic color.
I love it!

and lastly, of course, the drops!

 Step one:

First, I file my nails and push my cuticles back to prepare for the polish
Then I paint one coat of the Three way glaze
 & let dry

Step Two:
paint one coat of desired nail polish and let dry
don't worry if you get polish on your skin around your nail,
it will wash off

Then, add one more coat of nail polish
or as many coats to reach the amount of pigment/color you want

Step Three:
apply one last coat of three way glaze
and you're almost done!

Step Four:
immediately after applying final top coat,
add one drop per nail of the Drying Drops

You're nails will be dry in 1 minute
and fully dry in 5 minutes!
Amazing!!!

You're fingers will look a bit oily.
don't worry, it will go away!

and that's it!
The best part is that you will be free to use your hands literally after that, they will be rock hard!

You'll have the shiniest and prettiest nails around!
and everyone will be asking where you got them done...
don't worry, your secret's safe with me
:)

Oh, and I wasn't paid or anything to write this... I just love this product and had to share!

  1. Your nails look great! I can usually get mine painted and dried well enough on my own, but my downfall is doing the dishes. I do not use gloves, so my hands and nails pay the price;-( I'm your newest GFC follower. I wanted to thank you for stopping by today and leaving me a sweet comment on my Bow Tie Pasta Salad. I appreciate your kind words and hope you'll visit again soon and maybe even follow me back. Have a wonderful weekend!
